I've argued long and hard for democracy and trying to obey the current laws of the realm. It would seem that most posters are not on the same wavelength. There should be a very stronngpossibility that the flaws and faults in logic should be on the side of those who break the law deliberately; and are driven mainly by their personal desires and wants.
Sometime you might ponder what message you are promoting.

Some posters are flirting with the law of the jungle. Your desired solution brings on the heavy hand of the federal officers and border agents and police or military (remember OKA and FLQ and CWB incidents etc). These scenes influenced Canadian society; but never solved the basic problems satisfactorily for the dissident minorities. Like the law "it grinds slowly; but it grinds fine". Some of you need more patience; and a much broader outlook than the personal view that so quickly comes to the surface.
This should be food for thought; but it is naive to think that such people will reread and understand what is being said.

If your goal or the outcome is most likely "a fight to a standoff"; then how can that be considered winning anything. You'll ensure all your resources and the opponents will be devoted to defending no gain for anyone.

            Oneoff;

            Reread... and understand.

Goodale failed to carry out his own pledge to implement the recomendations of the Western Grain Marketing Panel.

Politics got in the way of implementation of a clean law that would serve those it was to govern.

Over a decade later... Goodale has actually tried to go directly against the flow of his first try to fix the CWB. Politics layered on Politics.

Global warming antics are no different.

The geese are now being disposed of in the US during the winter as there are so many they reck the environment where these geese invade.

Some day we will pay for the lack of balance; we need balance and not a exponential growth in wildlife decade after decade.

As providers of the habitat... we are responsible to bring these issues to the front... deal with them... and help strike the balance.

Your blind affection for the law... which is best served in the heart of humanity... to guide where needed...instead... common law and common sense; have been trampled underfoot by those who expropriate the hard work of a smaller and smaller number of productive citizens!

You're right, Tom' there is a "B" word that would describe the CWB.

Certain state farmers rely on migratory geese to invade their stubble fields to quickly convert excess trash into a ready fertilizer. They welcome their appearance.

Certain northern nesting grounds are physically destroyed by too many geese. The hatchlings are not able to gain enough weight to make it off the tundra, let alone to migrate. Nature has a way of balancing out exponential wildlife growth.

"Someday we will pay for the lack of balance, we need balance and not an exponential growth in wildlife decade after decade."

You would never say the same about human population, would you?

                Contemplate these words...

It's becoming more clear. Personal freedom (remember we're talking about my personal freedom to get my own way and do as I please) should never be restricted by societies laws. Religious beliefs are strictly between myself and some guy no living person has ever met. Its clear this all makes no sense at all.

Checking. You said "Nature has a way of balancing out exponential wildlife growth. " Then you commented on our people population. Substitute people for wildlife and you have answered your own question.

"Sometime you might ponder what message you are promoting."

I've pondered plenty, oneoff, and wrongness always washes out the same.

                      Dirty.

Sometimes, municipal law is an ass.
That should cause your eye to twitch.

Churches ask the same question you do oneoff

Same answer for them: Church laws are also, sometimes an ass.

For example, church laws sending an abusing priest to different region so the cycle can repeat itself is church law gone amiss. I think even the gods, (pick one), would agree.

And don't try to hedge the issue. It's not about restricting personal freedom.

It's about existing laws, in effect that are VILE, or past due date.

Don't ever think I've done nothing about correcting wrongness. Its just that I strongly avoid breaking laws.
Because no one has mentioned the acceptable methods of attempting to make what you and I may feel are overdue changes to the bad laws; here a few methods you should be trying
-gain support from other voters and ratepayers for your ideas
-lobby and express your opinions to your elected officials
-take a stance and write letters to the editor; agri-ville; the internet etc
-hold elected officials accountable and confront them
-once in a while go to final length and put it to the legal court system stage.
-petition obvious municipal tyrants to hold referendums that will bind elected officials to the will of voters
-attend ratepayers meetings and present arguments that are sound and embarrassing
-try to educate people who have no apparent interest; are tuned out; frustrated; on drugs; pretty damn stupid to begin with etc etc...
When was the last time that most of the viewers ever did any of the above and thus exposed themselves to these possibilities of a good "tar and feathering".
Its a lot more likely that those persons stood by and watched the fight. They apparently reason that while other issues is front and center; there is no one interested in picking on them.
It isn't the democratic system that is flawed. Its the people who don't do their share to make it work that are the problem.

Sorry, HT, I should have been more specific. It wasn't a question for you, or me to answer. It was directed at Tom4CWB.

I'm not attempting to get into the head of say a goose, but all it might want is to just eat, and breed until it drops dead. Somehow, I don't believe that's enough to keep Tom satisfied, so I give him questions to answer. (lol)

China adopted a law of one child per couple. In Tom's great grand children's rule, they are going to have to have this discussion with the extra billions that don't adopt a China law.

Ofcourse, Parsley will still be around saying that laws like this are made by dumb asses!!!
