Finished June 15 Canola tonight. Average 17 bu/ac, at least 5 green, all needed drying! Field was finally firm enough for tandem. Extreme stressful torture of a disgusting harvest. More fuel, hard on combines, slow progress, terrible weeds, wicked compaction and RUTS plus dried every bushel!
One SOB of a 2010,IMO! Can't wait to get done spinning ripping up all the HUGE weeds in SMF and stubble and put the abused machinery away! 30" of rain killed our land. And next year could be WORSE, if we get any amount of snow or rain.

Finished the wheat tonight, got 5 quarters of canola to do. Peas Were average yield and crap quality. Barley is average, good weight, won't make malt. Wheat a bit better than average yield, looks poor, has ergot. Canola got hit by the frost, will probably be 5/6% green and I'm expecting slightly under average yield. Don't have to go too far north and guys are pulling off record yields. I'm 20 minutes south of Killam, AB

Showers every Monday. Wheat just done a few days ago. Canola done today. Alfalfa seed 20% done. Need a week yet. Corn yet to come, but thats end of the month. Inlaws just finished the barley about Oct 3rd, and got a good start on the wheat. Friends near Milo just finished peas and are starting wheat and durum. SE Alta

Finished on Thanksgiving Monday. Wheat yields 30-40 bpa. Canola between 20-28bpa. Our flatest land was the most rain affected with wheat there barely making 20bpa.
Thankful for the crop we did get but its funny how a couple above average years make this year really hard to take.
