    Grain shipping

Just wondering what other are seeing or hearing. We
have loaded rail cars sitting at our elevator for now
over two weeks. I'm also hearing the railways are way
down from their projected shipping targets. Some are
suggesting that the railways are playing games
because they are near or over rail revenue cap. Other
suggesting that the economy has picked up enough
so other freight is receiving priority. Something does
    seem amiss.

Once grain is loaded in cars and they are released. Who gets storage charges, if there is any? The grain company or the railway?

you know the answer before you typed it.
Farmers lose the money because the CWB "has" to remain in control.
If I was paid once the grain was in the pit it would be the problem between two companies and they could sort it out.

        Yes Thanks.
I knew that the costs of handling and storage on non boards are figured into price and bases and that we pay these costs through deductions on board grains.

My question was more in trying to find out if the railways got any extra income by requiring, say a 12 hr load then not pulling cars for days or weeks?
