    Pulses

We are always comparing USA WHT to Canadian. Has anyone taken pulses into the USA to compare quality and prices. These are open market crops and it would be nice to see the comparison.

Maybe our lower quality fits thier specs and at a higher price.

I know the Sask-Can plant in Regina and Milestone often buys Lentils from farmers in North Dakota and Montana.

Never ever heard of a similar situation of Yanks bringing wheat/malt north though.

      wmoebis,

Our CDN handle is SIGnificantly less than US cost to port position.

Sometimes it would return better value to go south... but a direct hit shipment of grain beats multi transfered grain almost every time.

Every border... is another broker... lost value... and increased risk.

Our risk tolerance has been tested very effectively in 2010... but...

Go for it! Sometimes the lessons learned are well worth the time and money spent...!!!
