Independents Dropping like flys!!!

Some of these independents have become Crop Production Supplies and are wholly owned by Agrium. Just another Cargill in a different color.

I don't even know how long Cargill wil be around. They view their ag input buisiness as a dog and have been rumored to have been in talks to sell it several times in the last 10 years. Viterra and Agrium/CPS and hopefully the GROW group of independants will be all that's left in the future in my opinion.

And you likely don't get any closer to the producer than with a Co-op. Aren't most of them returning dividends back to the members? and most only need a $5 or $10 membership paid once in a lifetime?
