Just before noon we had 8.4 inches of snow

Has not yet let up yet at 2:30. Is it just us yet again? No ones really mentioned it yet. Just wondering. We have had 15 inches or more so far this winter.

    An ode to cabin owners:

    Fishing lake a rising,
    Fishing lake a rising,
    They say its farmer draining
    That's causing all the flooding

    But farmers we know better,
    We watch the sky's regular,
I wish someone would tell them
    Why fishing lake is rising.

First 2006, we seeded 10 per cent,
And then in 2007, another 50%,
Whoah nellie here came twenty ten
Seeded the same as an egg from a hen,
Oh why won't someone tell them,
    Why fishing lake is rising?

We can not drain an acre,
    We can not pump drop,
They won't let us blow a beaver dam,
They have put it to a stop!
Oh why won't someone tell them
    Why fishing lake is rising

First in 2006 we had way too much rain,
Then fallow in '07 too wet as well
We tried to seed in vain,
    08 and 09 were a bit better
But look out here comes 2010,
Not an acre to be put in.
Oh why won't someone tell them
    Why fishing lake is rising?

Now let me tell you about 0 ten,
    with 40 inches of dread,
It makes a dried out farmer,
    From Kindersley shake his head.

Just look at a map from dear old Sask,
Ag and food of whom you know,
    Cumulative rainfall, stubble moisture,
    And now this bloody snow.

    Yet they moan and complain,
    They won't let us drain,
    Hence I didn't grow them
A kernel of grain and yet,

They sit at their breakfast table,
    Eating curds and whey,
Shreddies and muffets, Eggs and ham,
So they can face the day.

Good thing the gubbernment in charge,
Hasn't made it mandatory ro them,
To eat a one hundred mile diet,
    Or they would surely starve.
Oh, why won't someone tell them,
    Why fishing lake is rising.

I'll tell them, I'll tell them,
    Why fishing lake is large,
You see they forecast 2 cm of snow,
But look out here comes twenty five.
On top of the other 20,
    That came near hallowee'n,
Not to mention the more than 40"
That fell from the skies scince spring.

So next year my farmer friends,
    And foes of every size,
    Watch the auction sales flyers,
    You lucky friggin' guys,
Who farm the way that they see fit,
And be thankful please be thankful
You got a crop this year and next.

But most of all be happiest,
When you look out your window pane,
You have no cabin owners there,
Who think its a sin to drain.

Silly I know, but damn we're so screwed for next year. Old timers have never seen it this wet ever. Including the wettest spring, this year.

We are going down the drain with you freewheat. Must be a foot now, still snowing at 5:17, hardly see half a mile! On radar only about 60 miles wide Regina to Nipawin parked here all day! What a freaking horror show. I hope this "soil poison" does NOT melt and stays cold. It's a f'ing disaster to the roads. Rest of winter snow better stay the hell away and fall where it's needed! This area is truly screwed!

Near Moose Mountain Park: chilly, negligible flakes of snow now and again, not particularly windy.

The trees are getting ready for a cold spell, though. Sorry about you guys with the weather that affects next year. Pars

28* in Cancun today, sunburned my forehead on
the beach. Not looking forward to going home to
snow. Hope that it doesn't pile up too deep this
winter, got enough full sloughs already.

Sun pretty intense on the west side of Oahu. Only get a few more days and then back home to service the truck and go make some money. Nice to see the pop in grain prices. Might have to stay home for a while to get some decent canola basis though, in the depths of winter.

                  bastards...

                  Vegas
                  Cancun
                  Oahu

                  Who else?

You could have left for Cuba today from Calgary for $520 dollars - taxes in - all inclusive - food - drinks = 3 star hotel for one week.
