First of all our forefathers didn't know what the hell a stinkin' Hutterite was until they returned from war. Hutterites did not exist in Canada until the First World War when the USA said time to go to war. They said no we ain't going. Anyone with a brain knows why - Hitler & Germans are the Hutterite's Buddies. So they fled to Canada because our Brain Dead Socialist Government welcomed them with open arms. They stole all this land from the men at war fighting for our freedom. All the land they own should be taken back and every last one of them should be sent packing to the USA to face prosecution. At the very least banned from Canada.

I'm going off of a list of sales provided to me by a realtor from Brandon... These may be skewed a bit as they are based on land that usually gets sold to Foreigners moving into the area (and those types of buyers usually pay premiums)

Using your $100,000 figure (I'm guessing you're from the area so probably know more than me what land is going for)... It's still almost a $20,000 premium for equal land in SK...

grrrr, I kind of share that sentiment... but if I need to make a downpayment with outside money (Thank-you oil patch!) I'll gladly do it.

Klause 30,000 down and financing 59,000 over 15-20 years . 10 years locked at 6.1% .. If you cant make that work your in the wrong game or the land simply isnt good enough. We farm DRYLAND.. I would buy 30 1/4's today under that exact scenario and never flinch. Only land that sells for 89,000 a 1/4 in these parts is sand, rocks, alkali or all 3.

By the way BTO my grandfather layed in thase trenches in Holland becasuse he wanted to fight for freedom. He didnt do it so he could come home to a free land handout. He didnt hold a grudge against to hutterites because they didnt go fight. I bet your family played the farmer card and didnt go over either.

Not to defend the hutts, but yes they are german. But they came out of russia and the ukraine as did the menonittes. Catherine the great brought them in because she was german and thought they would improve farming. No hitler nazi connection here. Correct me if i am wrong.
