Fall Prices for Alberta Crop Insurance

Most coverage levels for anyone paid out under Alberta crop insurance
increased this fall as a result of the variable price benefit. Dry beans and
mustard were the only crops that paid out under the spring price
    endorsement.

$12.57 for flax? Where do they get these prices? Spot price is $15/bu right now, and has been for a few weeks.

The source is listed in the following link page 10.

From this page - Simple average daily flaxseed price in the Calgary region during the month of October,
expressed in $/kg, as surveyed and published by the Alberta Grain Commission.

The market is thin in Alberta so finding accurate flaxseed prices is a challengs.

Suspect based off the ACPC price survey.

If you click on the end of the flax quotes, there is a charting tool. You will have to extend the date to include all of October.
