They don't have that in Ontario either. What is that costing his farmers? Likely nothing.

To Barry, it's called a geographical advantage. You have it in Ont being close to the St Lawrence and the USA. The midwest has it with the Mississippi. Alberta has it with feed lot alley and closer shipping to China for canola. Saskatchewan is land locked but having potash in the soil is our advantage.
This reminds me of people in Regina or S'toon beatching about the price of gas at the bowser(pennys) because the price of crude is so high, mean while the gov't is paying off a billion in debt(dollars) because the price of crude IS high. pennys vs. dollars!

SENFT BHP did not want to be part of Canpotex fact. BHP was willing to pay a premium for POT that they would in fact need to charge more for potash in order to make a profit. How would the deal have brought the price of Potash down?
