After all the information in First video that's all the CWB supporters could come up with.
Yea ps away huge sums of your own cash to create a super mill or trust a acredited mill, simply ps away allot of money till your broke. Yea you have choice. WINK WINK.
    Govt stoped advertising.
Yea lets tell western farmers what a great job they are doing growing a superior product for our superior customers. Simply that's not advertisement its patting your self on your own back.
CWB never fails to amaze me at just how large a entity it is. Oh they cut off my Internet now and are attacking my house. Watch they have spies every where.
    Tongue in cheek.

One of my favorite video clips. I would put a farmer in the same place of the woman in the video.

The video is right. These value added programs have been in place a long time. Why aren't more farmers using them? How much a burden is going through the paper work to apply and monitor to make sure you are playing by the CWB rules? Can the CWB change policy on these issues and impact the viability of the business opportunity?

WOW great video by the board supporters. I can hardly contain my new found enthusiasm for them. I was in line at Vittera this morning and talked to 10 different farmers representing 1500 acres to 11,000 acre farms and only one board supporter in the entire line (4500 acre farm). What disturbed me the most was only 3 of these farmers cast their votes for the election, and the rest circular filed them. It is glaringly obvious the banana republic elections are driving the voting to well below 45%. In a democracy the voter turn out pretty much sums up the overall opinion of the process. Of course the pro board supporters will argue the elections once again prove their support for the single desk. The democratic process used is what should be challenged more so than anything IMO.

Whats funny with the rebuttal video is they had days to come up with something and this is all they could point out.
Hm these programs are their but you have to play by the CWB rules. Years ago farmers tried for a pasta plant in Weyburn big deterrent was the CWB.
            Hm
This video doesn't cut it. Also blaming the Feds that you cant advertise. Yea they advertised how good of a job they were doing yet the farmer sees buy his checks the CWB is not doing a good job. actually a ps poor job.
My advise farmers theirs nothing in video don't encourage it. Actually no that's wrong look at it and you decide how they did.
See that's choice. In CWB world their is no choice follow by their rules or terminated.

In the video, I note the accusation is that farmers are to blame for not using the programs the CWB makes available to them. I find frustrating that the CWB measure of success is simply having a program available and not actual use or level of satisfaction of farmers that do use them.

Also frustrating that 7 of 10 farmers didn't take the time to vote. They need to realize they did vote - no vote is a vote for the status quo/single desk.

That's one place I have changed my mind. I use to just throw away all the bs they sent and never voted. All partners now submit the ballots.
Also your correct the CWB measures success of program with how many producers use them not why arent farmers using them and what can we offer different.

grassfarmer, I was just about to comment, but then, charliep, as my guiding inspiration, reminded me I should bring in my mole hunting-companion tomcat, so instead we're purring over matters of more importance than the Canadian Wheat Board. Pars

                        Charlie,

The more we reject CWB retoric and deception... the more of OUR own money the CWB spends to keep us in line.

I can't vote... and farm in a district the CWB elections are being held.

                        This whole CWB system is;

                        A.) NOT DEMOCRATIC,

B.) Does not respect property rights,

C.) Is costing the Canadian tax payer billions to prop up prairie grain growers.

Glad to see attention is finally being given to the issue!!!

Yet you couldn't respond to a post on Alberta's Bill 19, 36 and 50 - Bill 50 which specifically allows the cabinet to extinguish your property rights absolutely - land titles etc. What's wrong with being critical of the AB Government TOM? or are you so obsessed with the cwb that you can't see the world around you? As long as they tell you what you want to hear on the cwb issue they can remove your land, your property rights and you are OK with it?

Oh, and doesn't your C point above indicate that the cwb is in fact boosting the incomes of prairie grain growers?
