Climate Change Schemers in Mexico

Climate Changers like Suzuki are in Cancun, Mexico this weekend.

A new world order is in the making, where Canada will be hit up for paying climate taxes to 3rd world countries in order to even out global incomes.

You'd better hope Harper tells the DavidSuzuki/AlGore/GeorgeSoros communists to take their economic transformation and flush it.

“We’re not going to solve the whole problem this year, but we can lock in bigger and better agreements every year,” said Christiana Figueres, the Costa Rican diplomat who took over this year as executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the body that convenes the talks.

“Multilateral negotiations such as this one involve not just solving an environmental problem but actually involve the transformation of economic patterns and the economic structure we have lived with for decades.”

This is why we need a united farm policy voice to send a message to every politician, that states unequivocaly;

"Tell them to go straight to hell and if they ever mention it again, cut off every penny of food aid." Agree?

Hi Parsley,
Take a look at the map in the following link of possible future droughts caused by global warming.

http://www2.ucar.edu/news/2904/climate-change-drought-may-threaten-much-globe-within-decades

It is one projection based on the current data and models. Maybe it is accurate, maybe not. If it is an accurate projection are you not at all concerned about the implications for your grandchildren? Waiting for absolute proof may not be a good long term strategy. If you haven't noticed, humans have a track record of ignoring problems that seem too difficult to solve. Perhaps a collective denial.

Many mainstream executives and economists are suggesting that the best way to curb carbon usage is implement a carbon tax that would be used to research and develop alternatives. It can be argued that would be good for economic development. Creates lots of jobs too. acouple of choices; you can pay excess profits another form of tax) to the oil industry or start developing alternatives. Both create lots of economic activity. In your mind which is more sustainable?

E.O.Wilson a Harvard biologist has said that in order for all 6.5 billion of us to have a standard of living like we have in North America we would need 4 more planets like earth.

Good Luck to our grandchildren!

chuckchuck,

I'll come out and play for a bit. With you too, mussy. You boys are feeling your oats. lol

I agree with your "Maybe it is accurate, maybe not."

We could swap website links for a couple of days, and haggle a bit, but we both know that these days, almost all the professionals who supply the data merely corroborate their funder's unwritten objective, don't we?

I agree that jobs would hatch; very similar to the chartered accountants that founder on CAISE files.

Not a value adder to society, are they? Consider it this way, if they all died, and their CAISE work all stopped overnight, glunk, would it make the world worse or better?

yah, better, imho.

A little exerciser for you, fair enough? (gets your buns tightened up a bit so you look like those Riders)!

Divide the wealthy nations per capita income by 6.5B. Post it, 'cause I can't divide, or oneoff will give me a lecture.

Yes, I know, it kinda brings your annual income down, doesn't it? And when you notify all your little chucklechuckies what their annual spending limits will be, well....no car, no cable, no three meals a day, no ipads, no grad tuxedos, no diamonds in the nose, no texting....Yup..... they'll soon realize they don't want climate change. This temperature rising sure has me scared. When will it come to Saskatchewan?
I think these people might want it also

When will the warming start?

or here

They could use a cold snap

Why can't I use this to claim that warming is not happening if the climate change(or whatever they call themselves now since they had to rebrand when the oceans didn't rise) use a heat wave to say the earth's temperature will be rising in this millennium. Oops, I forgot, now its just any kind of extreme temperature or weather. Funny, I think extreme weather has been happening since the earth was created. Stupid me I suppose.

Good thing Swedes are a hardy lot, gregpet. I was going to post that one but you beat me to it.LOL

But for shivering Canadians needing to warm up a bit, try this:

Mix 1 heaping tblsp of cocoa with 1 tsp heaping with sugar in a hearty mug. Pour in a enough 18% cream milk (check the label so that you're not buying the junk added to it. It should read "cream and milk")to make a paste when you stir it until it's smooth. Add a teaspoon of vanilla. Add a dash of hot red cayenne pepper. Add a dash of cinnamon if you like it, or not. Add really hot milk and stir. Whisk with a fork until frothy.

Hot chocolate for the kids that will make them drool.

Especially if you add ONE small piece of chocolate and a spoon.

See, I'm preparing for climate change. Pars

Pars I think the jobs chuckchuck was talking about are jobs that replace the old technology with the new technology. Like its hard to find a telegraph repairman although you Parsley might know one.
Like its hard to find a set of steel wheels for your tractor Parsley.
Like its hard to find a livery stable in your town Parsley to park your steed.
Like its hard to find any coal for your stove Parsley.
Like Parsley where do you get the ink for your inkwell?

You mean like jobs like despatchers buying windmills made in Europe, shipping them over here, and shutting down cott's oil wells and shutting down the coal-fired grid in Estevan?

I have to think about that one

Oh ya, I'll have tally the number of men hired for rationing electical volts when it's calm out. Lotta new jobs there.

Long term climate models follow a pattern like eveything, everywhere - we are heading for a cooling period, end of story. Wether you like/dislike Dr.Tim Ball or not, he is right - based on facts 0n ice core samples and sun spots a cooling off period is coming.
The whole global warming thing is such a crock of shit in the big picture. What has happened in the last 100 years is worthless. The climate changes everyday all over the world - every minute - every day - every year...... based on sun spots snd 'very' long term cycles.... get a grip everyone!!!
It has frick all to do with farming pactices - or industry for that matter. More bad stuff goes into the atmosphere with one volcano than 100 years of man made 'anything' !!
Pollution control is the real dirty word that no one admits is the real problem facing humanity itself.
