    Chuckchuck,

I agree that weather is involved in marketing.

Prove to me... that the CWB has not wasted millions on weather people and systems... over the past 10 years.

Just because the weather effects our farm... DOES NOT MEAN WE NEED TO EMPLOY A WEATHERMAN.

The kind of weather info... that is 'intelligence'... is in forecasting... not past events.

It is VERY OBVIOUS... if the CWB sales staff had listened to Larry... instead of their own weatherman/people... we would be enjoying much better returns this year.

I can find out is 10 minutes... on public web sites... weather past tense all over the 'designated area'.

International weather is reported minute by minute... on the futures exchanges. It is the responsibility of CWB sales folks to know exactly; EXACTLY... what is going on. NOT the CWB weatherman.

I can always remember the Cargill folks ... in disbelief... commenting on the CWB weather 'intelligence' system!!!

And you can guess what they thought!!!

Bruce Burnett gets to keep his job even with all his computer data and can't see a drought coming in russia?

Come on this guy should have been out the door with ward and ian a long time ago.

Those posted salaries are, just about the same as our local County Council. In fact they are less!!! Whinning and snivelling about low pay in the workplace, will get you nothin. Comedians, never cease to amaze!

          But they have done nothing.

And when Ian and Ward screw up the durum market single handedly they still do nothing.

          No new benchmarks for management?

They probably still let management write up their own benchmarks. They are letting the monkeys run the zoo!

          They are wasting our money.

          Its a disgrace. And incompetence.

The last time I checked, our County Councillors do little or nothing either, except to go to meetings, and rubber stamp, admin decisions. Every few years they have to win a popularity contest, just like directors, guess all in all they are part of a Comedian institution......

                Burbert,

Do you use all dirt roads around your farm... or do you travel on plowed/graded gravelled roads like my county provides for our farm?

DO you have emergency services... like we have in our county?

Do you have a waste managment facility that you can send your garbage to?

Does your county mow the ditches and kill weeds like they do here... ?

Are you sure you live in western Canada Burbert?

Try visiting Ukraine or Russia... then tell us how bad you have services in Alberta!!!

i don't think the argument should be about the director's salaries but about what cwb performance measurements. they should be measured on how well they market wheat because they are not a company that is measured on stock performance. how are they doing on that performance measurement?
