parties aren't just a piss up. It is the one time of
year when senior management and the serfs blend
together in a social manner, unhinged from status-
quo hierarchy, where those senior managers assess
and evaluate individuals they usually never contact
with on an individual basis. That is why most
employees hate Xmas parties - they know they are
under the microscope (in a well run organization).
Your nastiness here is out of touch with reality and
plain old good will at a special time of the year.
