Ted Cawkwell, a good friend and advocate of a free market system passed away Dec.25. He will be missed by many people.

I think with the price of glyphosate at historic low value now, they cannot access it any cheaper then what you can buy it locally. They made some rumbles about Aurora (Horizon) but it looks like that market revalued itself as well.
I think they brought attention to an issue but now they are lsoing their marketing niche because the marketplace corrected itself.

Went to his funeral today. Packed hall
in Lintlaw. Bill Cooper spoke a bit
about the changes Ted wished to have,
and stated someday we will do it. We
will banish the CWB. For Ted.
He was a great guy, a massive farmer,
but he had no attitude about it, He
could care less if you farmed 17 square
feet, if you had some love for farming
he was willing to talk.
I asked him for advice several times,
and he always had the time for me to
give me some angles, some help. I did
business with him and he will be missed.
I sure feel for the kids, and the boys'
broken hearts and dreams.
Rest in peace indeed.
Here's to Ted, he will not be replaced.
