    SWS pricing and uses

I've been meaning to grow SWS wheat for
a couple years but where I farm it would
have to be in very early and it hasn't
    quite worked.

What are the marketing options for SWS?
Does it have a similar value to CPS feed
wheat? How badly does it downgrade
before the board doesn't want to take it
    from me?

I imagine any malting/distilling is met
    in the south under irrigation?

I hear that SWS should be in demand for
ethanol production but my local plant
only wanted CPS last time I talked with
them (didn't want to switch partially).

Does SWS process similar to CPS/HRS feed
wheat (assuming bushel weight is up)?
Does it have the same feed value?
Should it be worth the same or is it
    discounted?

Oh yeah, since BTO seems to do a drive-
by of everything on this forum (yet
    ignores the livestock end. why
    concentrate on us?)

SCREW BTO AND **** THE BOARD

SWS has low protien, downgrades easily, sprouts easily, and is not very desirable as feed wheat. It is generally the last wheat taken as feed, if feeders have a choice. It tends to be the lowest priced. The newest varieties are better, but there's not much grown for milling anymore. That makes volumes low enough to not bother with in a ration.

          I grow it.

Gets used for ethanol (off board), the wheat board also purchases it... Richardson handles it, movement is easy... They pick up on farm, $5.15/bu.

Yields like an SOB. Takes a lot of water. Takes longer to mature than HRS.

Sprouts easier than barley. Very plump. Easy to get up to bushel weight, low protein. Lower fert/bu ratio. EXTREME amounts of straw...

          Lodges fairly easily.

Here is a prime example of Angriville at its best, "RON". This should result in immediate banning from this site for some-time. In fact, I insist that this banning take place immediately and be permanent in nature. BUTT OH I FORGOT. Ron is a desenter, true to this site and will probably be rewarded rather than banned for his gross conduct..............

At least you can understand what Ron is saying. It would be nice to understand burbert and bto once in a while.

I am not for banning anyone.

And foul language is a fact of life. It sometimes is the only way to exemplify what you are trying to say.

"screw off bto" has no bite or feeling to it.

                  I was reminded that

                  47.1 of the CWB Act
                  is NOT IN FORCE
                  This includes barley

21 and 22 is Not in Force

21 and 22 was enaacted but not put into force 22 years ago
                  There is a lag time
On June 28, Ritz could have rescinded. Did he? You can check online. pars
