    Agri-ville community centre coffee shop

This site might be old, I dont like to
think how long I have been posting here,
but it did get the idea of what these
sites are in the original wording in my
    view.
Town community coffee shop they are all
there in the tab above. That is how I
see them virtual coffee shops filled
with a cross section of the
    community/town.
I visit lots of these sites around the
world, British Farming Forum, is the UK
one if you are looking for a change Ron,
and they each have their own character
    and characters.
Just like in a real coffee shop some
people are your friends some you respect
and some you avoid and no one is banned
    if they behave.
If you use your real world mind you can
soon learn which post to read and which
to ignore. I would never stop visiting
or posting by the posts of others just
ignore them. There are too many
interesting helpful people here who will
give real good advise. I have learnt
    much over the years.

Thank-you to my friends and those I
    respect on agri-ville.

To those I ignore you dont even exist
which is even better than a real coffee
    shop

Couldn't agree more. I seldom post but often sit quietly at the table trying not to spill my coffee. Mostly by the time I found the thread (table) someone has given the points I would have made so I don't jump in. The Beef room entices me to post more often. Having said that if the management was so inclined to bounce the extremely uncalled for types I could live with a bit of censorship. Not asking for it per se just won't complain if it happens.

      1. Free speech is something we take for gramted. Protect it, per. Just as allowing your kid to steal little candies in the store because "they aren't very much", even a wee bit of censorship, builds that slippery slope.

2, When did hope die? One has to believe that each and every one of us is able to improve ourselves. It's a bright spot in life, having the hope I can become better; but sweeter, knowing others have enough faith in me to believe I am able. Pars

Lets face it, what has ruined this site is the CWB discussions. It was always said that politics, and religion can cause tension in a coffee shop, but in a farming community so can the CWB. Once again I will bring up the word RADICAL. All you have to do is look at some of the posts. Say what you want and let others reply to what you have said. But for one to call another stupid is just wrong. How can you not pick out the radical people on here. Those that have to bring up the CWB, even when the thread did not have anything to do with them, what does that tell you? Lets face it, when someone like Ron has to start a thread saying he is leaving agriville and all his reasons, then if you noticed has to end his thread along like every other post he has with a SCREW THE CWB, then Iam sorry, but is that not signs of a radical person? In his mind it was probably the CWB's fault that Canada Juniors lost the final. And don't get me wrong, not only do we have radical anti cwb, we also have radical pro cwb. To sum up my post, being radical always is the spoiler in any conversation topic. Get rid of those people on here and all will be fine again. As far as BTO goes, has any not heard the expression "Dumb like a fox"??

          Thanks ianben, pers and parsley,

I think this is a healthy discussion and one I am taking seriously and thinking alot about.

I agree with Parsley that we need to give others the opportunity to voice their opinions..even when we dislike their approach.

I have reviewed the Posting Guidelines several times the past couple of weeks and only want to become involved when there is a clear instance of inappropriate behaviour(As per Guidelines).

When you consider that there are almost 40,000 visitor sessions per month on Agriville.com the number of irritating posts is very low.

Over the past few years, I have only had to warn a few individuals and even the bad language has become rare.

I love that this many people can share their opinions, ideas and knowledge with each other and as Parsley has mentioned...hopefully improved their knowledge, perspective and outlook.

I like ianben's approach, just ignore the people that irritate you...like a real coffee shop.

Feel free to send me your thoughts and ideas on how we can keep improving Agriville.com

          Thanks,

Smallguy. I would like to play devils advocate on your CWB comments. When it comes to all wheats and barley, what possible topic can you discuss that the CWB wouldn't be relevant? They have their fingers in absolutely evreything pertaining to wheat and barley. EVERYTHING! Sure if there is a canola thread and someone talks about the board then yes thats too much but otherwise...
