Is anyone else humored by the CWB/WTO ads on the radio??
Funny how <20,000 wheat growers generate over %80 of the wheat.
Hilarious how our industry has a fractured and underfunded lobbying presence in Ottawa.
Great fun that the CWB isn't allowed to lobby yet run these ridiculous ads?

Ahhhha. That's where the adjustment factor windfall (for the CWB) is being spent! I couldn't figure out why Minnipaolis has risen $70/MT in 3 months and the FPC only about $30. How could I be so blind?

A complete waste of our money.

On local radio they have paid to have those ads run just before the futures market commentary on grain prices for the day. Just to rub some salt in the wounds before listening to prices in the US?

I don't have an initial guaranty on any of my oats,canola,flax,or any other nonboard crop so let it go and just pay me all the money up front like the non board commodities. I vote to lose this so called perk...

I can NOT believe how foolish these adds sound!

Of course other countries determine how much and the terms on which we sell our grain...

INCLUDING the 423 Main Winterpeg country which is the worst offender on the planet!

The CWB can assure an 80 percent EPO for a few cents per tonne... what benefit are the CWB talking about... when the contingency fund is paying for all the revenue short falls recently... NOT the Canadian Government!

This is a total waste of money!

Perhaps we should run radio adds telling the CWB this?

I forgot... talking about the intangable benefits of the CWB in Eskimo is not allowed... an immediate audit will be forthcomming...

Why are you sending 100 car unit trains of 300 falling number... 13.5px feed wheat to the US?

Is this how you pay for the radio ads?

Good point tom. Yes they are sending our wheat that they call feed but has great falling numbers to the usa. Hm wonderful system just wonderful.

I couldn't agree more-- if the numbers are good(falling number, protein, weight, etc.) who cares if there is some bran frost, bleach, or what ever it "looks" like. Lets start basing grades on the hard numbers and get the subjectivity of the buyer or grader out of grading grain. Between the CGC and the CWB, I wonder who is the puppet and puppeteer in this circumstance. Maybe it is the dysfunctional system as a whole that lends itself to something akin to the "Gong Show".
