    We have a lot of snow here in MB. How do your

    east central Ab has 2' or better. that is 2 hundred percent of average or better IMHO.

      After recent warm weather, bare patches and snowmobilles gota watch.

        Just as much here in the southwest as in the spring of 97,maybe more because it hasn't really blown around yet. There will undoubtedly be some standing water this sring but land in the area has the ability to drain well with its gentle rolling topography.

          environment canada's snow water equivalent map for the prairies shows all agricultural areas, with the exception of the peace river region, at greater than 200% of the 22 year normals.

            I have seen that map as well and they are dead wrong in this area. Not sure were they get their info.

              it's satellite imagery. they admit if it's going to be wrong it will be to exaggerate the amount of snow. here, ne of regina, we're over 200% of normal for this time of year. where the cows have really packed it i'm still driving on a foot of ice now.
