Liars and crooks since Trudeau. And the voters will be suckered again by the sounds of some of the latest discussions. You will get what your naivety deserves. Shame the rest of us go down with you.

”Plus a NEW First. This is the first government to be held in contempt of Parliament in our history.“

Never has more fuss been made about the word “NOT” being used by a minister to defund a taxpayer draining organization.

I’d say the real new first would be the opposition being able to manufacture a scandal out of a minister doing her job. Did the opposition ever think that when the country is running multiple billion dollar deficits, that maybe we should “NOT” be funding racist NGOs with taxpayers dollars? Obviously the Li-blo-nd coalition feel it’s more important to throw mud at the Conservatives before the next confidence motion that they can cause an election with, than actually try to help run the country properly.

Question: Do you think that the Liberals would have escaped being held in contempt of parliament when they stole $30 million taxpayer dollars for their own coffers in Adscam, if the opposition at the time would have had a majority of the house seats and been able to set up this kind of a kangaroo committee?

Question 2: Does anyone seriously think this is even remotely as egregious a breach of parliaments rules as adscam was?

Unprecedented tempest in a teapot is more like it.

Back to the title of this thread: How much more or less do you think Quebec will siphon from Canada if the Liberal/Bloc/ND coaliton takes power?

very correct Kathy--neither do our MPS.

Lessons learnt with the recent SAPL---CAPLA now CAEPLA work.

Cheers Kathy.

In all fairness to the MP's/MLA's, and I know they are held accountable. But the real big problem is the unionized civil servants that really run the country.

Shouldn't our check and balance be for the MLA's/MP's to read the bills the bureaucrats wrote to make sure the content is what the intent is?

That was the reform party.

We are too docile and chicken to actually threaten separation... in the west!

Can't they all get together and have
someone read it to them clause by clause?
If they don't show up to the reading
meeting, then they can't vote...

They have a committee that is supposed to review it and pass on the Cole's notes.

What would it take for the Conservatives to take a few seats away from the BQ? I don't think that greasing the Quebec public with gifts is enough.

I am afraid we are going to have an election and nothing will change.
