Boys, you just have to toughen up a bit and take a few jibes. LOL after all, I am a poor helpless damsel.

jensend, I posted with happy faces, and I even signed "regards" to you, and I was just having a bit of sport. lol so the both of you can stop your pouting, and foot stamping, and refute with some arguments. Lawsey

Happy Trails, you're more fun to hang out with, but most likely dangerous. LOL .

      Wow...
"Learned along time ago, if you dont agree with Tomyboy or parsleygirl, you are a idiot. They know it all, no one smarter than those two."

Was that a back handed complement, a sarcastic criticizm, or simply and admission that we will have an opinion... even if it is not a fact that simply fits the normal template of 'worldly' wisdom?

To be included with the likes of 'Parsley'... brings a tear to my eye... and a grin... AT THE SAME TIME!

      Bless You!

      God Bless Canada!

        By the way HT,

There was a happy 4 legged critter in the air conditioner of the Jeep Laredo.

Even had the fan ticking at times... somehow it got everything removed and the fan works fine again!

My better half had a sticky trap out... to catch another critter in the house... cause the goofy colie with a lock pic kit opening doors to go bark/chase the coyotes!!! lest the mice in at times...

Well 'Lucky' caught the mouse...with one of the traps... and I thought it was my time to get the rascal in the Jeep with one of the other sticky traps...

I was told the sticky traps DO NOT work in frozen climes... (the housegarage with the Jeep is NOT Heated)...

On the way to the Red SErge Ball on Saturday evening in Killam... I grabbled that extra trap... put a small scoop of penut butter in the middle of it.... and stuck it in the back of the frozen Jeep just before the 3 minute trip to Killam.

Good thing we went to Killam... or the trap wouldn't have worked in the Jeep!

Parked just in front of the 'Provincial Court' trailer in Killam.

6:30pm... when Danny Hooper got done with us at 10pm... we were $500 lighter in the wallet with 4 hours of weeding (Local mounty that worked in SK research station before) to do the 'Brave-C' Jerusalem Artichoke... and 160ac of crop check by Agri-trend!... (Free ad)

Welll back at the Provincial Court... I GOT Lucky AND SHE GOT UNlucky cause there was a garbage container just outside.. IN front of the parked Jeep.

The sticky trap in the frozen Jeep... Caught that poor mouse! And I got Lucky... to fold that trap over and put it in the Provincial Court disposal system in Killam!

I wonder if I could go to Jail for this admission!

The point being... I am too much of a wimp... to even kill a mouse! Had to go to Killam RCMP and Provincial Court for rodent control in Jeep!

Of mice and moles and men.

We now have t(r)appers for all, but you'd be lucky to stay out of the middle and end of parsley's patch!

Tom. You still have a mouse in your jeep. They come in pairs.

What is the point of posting this on this agricultural blog? Is it to demonstrate just one more opinion out there that demand is outsripping supply? Is it our social responsibility as farmers to fix this problem?

Maybe we should have a new goods and services tax of say 5% on everything for everyone, and all that money could go towards a food aid program, I would be all for that. We could all as Canadians share the burden of global social responsibilty.

the point is that the future of food production and marketing can't be predicted with just a few usda reports and a weather forecast. the world is bigger than that and factors like civil unrest will affect how other countries' economies function. can you ignore things like the fact that consumer debt keeps on rising while the standard of living doesn't? agriculture doesn't exist in isolation. when it's said that china and india increased food production significantly by encouraging small holdings doesn't that mean anything? or when you hear people in north america say they want food grown close to home do you wonder if other nations will follow suit given energy costs as well as cultural preferences? is it silly to think that everybody will buy their food from american and canadian farmers?

                    the multitudes...
