I was down your way on Tuesday and wow never seen snow like that for your area.
Even Assiniboia has tons of snow.
North of valley all way to NE has huge amounts of snow. Foam Lake well that's just another story.
Tried to find our old air drill. See the tank but drill is under snow. The 3310 you can see the manifolds tops thats all.

Going out today with loader and dig a bit around our drill. Its amazing how the combination of stubble, and exposed iron will melt around drill a lot quicker. Maybe push the whole dam field while out there!!!

Yes I know assiniboia is way further SW than you. One area with hardly any snow is Lumsden to chamberlain.

Note: If air drill is frozen in the snow bank it is too early to start getting it ready. Digging it out will not speed up spring. Seeding is at least 6 weeks away.

It would be nice to see it sitting on the hill. But yes were at least 10th or later in may for starting.

Drew Lerner in Wadena yesterday, predicts slow melt, cool May -June, decent summer, then better Sept due to la Nina weakening.
Storms will track in the US and the south part of prairies, below #16, will be affected in the next few weeks. Lots of rain in US Midwest delaying planting.
We will be watching. Should miss Wadena, his guess!

If your not used to digging an airdrill out of deep snow your going to wish you did it before the snow started to melt and turn to ice. could be out planting before the drill melts out.
