Must not have gone far enough north, because a snowmobiler yesterday got stuck on one of my fields thought he was at bottom with the sled but when he got off he said he sunk till his b---s hit the snow, and his feet were not at bottom.
That must be something new for the south, but if the usual weather hits when south is 25 we are at 10-15 degrees so we'll see how it all turns out, but hope for best for us all. Guys with the weather margins are laughing the rest of us aren't.

A new foot here too, and very big set back. Just getting some nice sized bare patches out in the field, now starting over. Snow melts slow till you can get stuble or dirt showing.

Good foot of heavy wet snow here SE of Calgary. Culverts are maxed out trying to deal with the runoff, massive sloughs forming. Water running over some of the roads too. Did not need this last blast of winter, lucky to be going by second week of May, very lucky.

If it was any other day of the week but Sunday this post would be full of profanity that would make a drunken sailor's vocabulary sound like a Sunday sermon. Just what we needed, more (especially wet) snow!! This is going to be an interesting year. The later it gets before we are allowed to seed the greater risk of a poor crop. These are interesting times. I wonder if canola will continue to edge up as seeding gets later. Anyone going to hold any back until next year?
