Got home late, only saw the second half. What a
yawn! Did I miss something - was food supply,
agriculture ever mentioned? Don't people eat and
have jobs in the Agri-food industry? Is sound food
supply not part of national security, self reliance,
and a presence in Global contribution, not to
mention the Nation's economy. Harper -get rid of
that hair, it looks like a bad toupee painted on! You
are all image and no substance. Iggy, for a Harvard
prof used to debate - you sure floundered, what's
up with all that stuttering and broken sentences?
Layton, Mr everything to everyone - sweet but who
could afford you? Duceppe, too bad you're all for
the break up of the Country - at least you are clear
and articulate on where you stand.
Wouldn't it be great to have a visionary and sound
thinker who could actually present a blueprint for
the future of this Nation. And Tom - don't submit
Harper, the guy has never had a real job in the real
world - he's got the best job he'll ever have and
he's only interested in one thing - keeping it. Sad
truth is that among the 308 jokers and clowns out
there in Parliament, I'm 'stuck in the middle with
you'. I will vote, but who gets my $1.70, I'm not
sure yet. Time to assess local candidates.

Best punch of the night came from Layton when he confronted Iggy with his attendance record in the house.

I agree Fran. What's the excuse? I took points off
Iggy's score card for that one. I thought, despite all
the hype, he was poorly prepared. He could have
countered that one. I'm still seeking the visionary
though, not on the radar yet. I think the most
profound statement was from Layton regarding
proportional representation and individual members
playing a greater role in Governance. BTW, that
doesn't make me NDP, just a student of more direct
democratic representation. I'm a fan of Preston Ms
approach to direct democracy, more direct control.

I thought the best line in the debate was when Jack accused Iggy of not fulfilling Liberal promises... and Iggy shot back that at least the Liberals get elected...

'Duce' does really not belong in the national debate... which adds to the Coalition proven as dysfunctional.

Was certainly well worth the time to watch... all of us thought it captivating!

Surprised at iggy's stutter rookie jitters possibly but no screw ups but nothing earth smashing either, should be at parlaiment but nothing much happens there most days anyways.

Layton was all at ease but he never has anything to loose anyway so it's a free ride for him.

And finally Mr. Harper is that one of The Donald's used hairpeaces? And I absolutely could not stand that fake almost whisper when he talked. Fake hair, fake voice. Does much better when he just talks normal like he can.

So is there gonna be a day in this campaign when a new scandal doesn't come out, no wonder they wanted the election. According to CTV the rolling credits printed out that a prostitute and money launderer attended parties at sussex drive. I don't get it, it's not even laughable any more, are they trying to help the police out by rounding all the crooks up at the pmo office or what, how emberrassing. Layton was right where is the Harper of 5 years ago what the hell happenned, or has the mask finally fallen off?
