    Just heard CBC announce on the radio that Sun
    TV is launching at 4 eastern time.
    Of course they also had to mention that it is
    being run by Harpers former communications
    director. Already gettting ready to counter any
    facts they don't like.

      Sun "news" is owned by Stephen Harper's former Director of Communications.

      So you think you will get actual news reporting?
      No if its the same as Fox, you get commentary and spin, just look at the front cover of sun news about Iggy quoting Mao.

      This type of private "newscasting" has been the Downfall in the U.S. IT CREATES DIVISION and hate and fear-mongering and conspiracy theories etc etc.
      So we'll have big spending Bush-like gov't.
      Fox- like news
      American style mega-prisons
      American style election ads
      Stephen will be proud

          In the interest of fairness maybe what the Conservatives should do is take the money that currently goes to the CBC and give it to Sun news. And lets see, the CBC has been sucking the public teat for around 75 years so maybe in another 75 they should get their chance again.

              Being that Iggy is a connoisseur of the 'Wallflowers' Dylan, and US/British alternative Rock... he will be more at home than ever before; right here in Canada!

              All we will need to do is call one of our Universities 'Iggy's Blooming Flowers' and we will be in our own 'Democratic' Utopia!!! Eureka!!!!

                Gee, wonder how many dictators created their own media to spew their propaganda. I could think of a few in Europe.

                Are they gonna set up bull horns on street corners and the grid roads and play that humming kinda whistling noise 24 hours a day like they do in Iran to try to put us all to sleep? lol gonna have to take the muffler off the truck so I don't hear that crap going down the road. lol
