Hope you didnt sign to many grain contracts for this crop that is going to get mudded in. Last year we produced 7000 bushels of canola and our normal production is 70,000 bus. We havent signed any this year the buyouts are way too costly, Viterra is the worst to deal with. If you have a weak stomach get out now before everyone wants out. Prices are going to hit the roof if the crop doesnt get in. If we get any rain before the end of May we wont seed an acre.

I guess we are the only area that can have a disaster at seeding time. Glad your situation is better and you have no worries.

There is quite the variation across the country and its hard to know what is going to happen. It may be too dry this year or just right or too wet. You never know. Making a contract might be the best decision, but as we know these aren't decisions, they are guesses.
