If we get to 66% Ill be happy!

Hey any one who thinks its getting dryer wise up. Some areas yes but when we move across the field its like walking through a land mine field cautious at every turn and don't know when one will go off.
Have got to 35% as of late yesterday finally all is working OK but have extra 4 wheeler in field where we are seeding and a man to sit and pull when needed.
Spraying is way behind as most are just trying to get something in ground.
Basically if we can get to 66% Ill be happy. It seems the 21 quarters that had hail last year are the worst. Loose two years of no crop on those.
Talked to a larger guy yesterday they worked all day with two 75 ft and seeded 300 acres. That's a big day out here and you don't dare go after dark because of the consequences.
9:00 is happy time you made it through another day with out breaking any equipment of getting stuck very bad.
Good luck to those that got seeding going or are done. Drought is way better than excess moisture. Way better.
Oh yea Drew is calling for 25 to 35 MM. Yea I'm listening to CBC. HAHAHAHAH

Rained out last night in southern Alberta. 60% done. Need a week.

Talk about extreems, we are headin out to seed potholes/wet spots. Guys 20 miles south still fightin wet soils, stuck tractors and drills. Good luck to you guys dealing with mud, stay safe. Some guys here - max tillers - are lookin for rain.

I don't think our sloughs will be seeded this year. About 5% of the farm still under water, and getting deeper now.

Makes for interesting seeding. The other day Dad fell asleep with the autosteer on and drove into one. Luckily he's a light sleeper and hit the cluth as soon as he hit the water.

Gave the neighbor a good laugh while he pulled us out backward though.

And we are the opposite - NE of Edmonton we are 50-75% done and it is getting dry. Had a brief shower yesterday to settle the dust. Ground is hard and cracking - moisture 1 1/2 to 2 inches down. Switching to barley this afternoon should be done saturday. Then Ill gladly take some rain off your hands! Good luck to everyone.

Drill started to carry very well here now and going straight through most everything. Surprising what the sunshine and wind and harrow cult did around here. Plenty of moisture under ground but in my area I see most people should be 100 percent done in a week. Unlike last year maybe 66 percent in the area June 10.

Very true hopper, but still you have the same gys struglling like hell and it does not matter if they farm 2000ac or 20,000ac every year it's the same dog and pony show.

just got going yesterday, used a valmar and heavy harrow and put 480ac of canola in...starting to dry but muck underneath...hope we miss this rain.

Started today. Nice to be out there.
Forgot about my usual panicky moments on
the first field when monitors are
bleeping, seed depth concerns, and blown
NH3 hoses! But I'm out there, and I'm
happy. Just need to tweak a bit in the
morning... Too shallow in unworked ground,
too deep in fall cultivated land. Should
have not cultivated, but who'd a thunk?

Just got in, starting to spit. Had a good day no
one got stuck. Ha. Roads going to shit. Yard
needs rocks and lots ofvthem.hopefully no big
amour of rain, it was starting to seed not bad.

Awesome Freewheat. Its got to be a great
feeling to get anything in the ground. To
deep to shallow... at least its in and you
have a crop to get covered by insurance.
