Take a drive. Estevan the new Foamlake!

Headed down to ND for weekend since were
rained out. My god nothing is seeded from
Creelman all the way down to Minot. Oh maybe
one here or their but man their like us last year.
It pored just north of Estavan yesterday again.
Their will be lots of acres getting not seeded
again in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. If the rain
event for today and then again on Monday like
Drew says even we won't finish the remaining
    acres.
so to all the experts that 20 mill canola number is
way way to high. Also the comments guys will
seed canola first Ha ha Ha. Only ground able to
seed is canola ground and I don't think their will
be that much canola on canola.
Durum I also don't think that much got seeded.
Also wet south of Calgary and dry from Peace to
    Saskatoon.
Now ND well they must have a really good don't
seed program because nothing basically seeded
    from border south.

This is all true, but I'd still take this over a drought. It makes the decision real easy about seeding when the one that did venture out was followed by a trackhoe.

It will also take a lot of 50 to 80 acre quarters that were dodged around to be able to reach 20 million canola.

Actually I forgot about all the 100 to 120 acre
quarters of canola in NE Central and South. No
way it will be even close to that pie in the sky
number. Some yards have lake front just north of
      Estevan.

Our area might be 40% done. Think all the canola is in though. A couple weeks ago when good going every drill going had canola in it. South central. #6 east and #1 south think the seed is still in the sheds. I would not jump to any acreage guesses yet.

nice to hear your taking a drive down our way for a change, careful if your diving back Mon, as they've now increaced the rainfall to 30-40mm That will finish us.
Was able to get 90 acres over 3 quarters of joining land, had to go into transport 8 times!
Also your right about canola acres planted, can only get on canola, flax and pulse stuble, hardly any canola or pulses planted in the really wet townships.

Also throw in frost the north got. Drew did say we
were going to get it Monday. Don't need 2
inches that will take us backwards. Spit this
            morning down here.

We made it to half seeded. It feels like we did it all! dealing with mud everywhere takes a lot of time and energy. Or maybe I just getting old.

A few spits here again this morning and more forecast for monday. Looks like this may be it.

Neighbors using the plane, others using valmar. Not sure what our next move is. Hope the weather straightens out and we can get some more. The seeding plan is out the window now. Wheat oats and barley are whats going in now. Maybe some small grn lentils as well.

Took a drive from Ethelbert to Dauphin down the #20
                highway. 297 quarters, 4 seeded, 2 more sprayed, 1
worked/NH3. This area is usually done by June 1.

Gilbert Plains area slightly better... probably about 50
out of 172 done on the way back....
