hobby thats sounds like sask99 says its last years program. You need to be in crop insurance this year to get any thing.

Right now I might take the 65/ac, rather than watch the $150/ac exp dumped in to a canola crop wither away and all the hard work freeze off before my eyes. The stuff we reseeded may be the only chance at a canola crop left after morning. But I guess at least we had a chance some never, so I guess time will tell from this point.

          Get any rain furrow?
          2/10" here. 1" 10 miles west.
Hopefully humid or wind enough to not freeze in next 3 nights.

Look at all the practice you got furrow, makes perfect. What the heck you worried about anyways, you got $50 an acre to reseed the Canola & that pays fer the seed. The cost of reseeding is essentially zero other than fuel if'n yous own yer own drill. Besides now that the ground is warmer you will have picket fence stands with emergence & yer off to the races!!!!!!

you may be right, and ya the drill and tractor are more than paid for. Our turn I guess, not worried, just disappointed. Some here are crappin their pants after renting big acres for big money though. Mother nature teaches lessons every day it seems.

sask99, yes I am in crop insurance. Everything worked out ok last year, but I had a lot of resistance from the office manager, I found it unusual.
