    Monte,

CWB should get some kind of AWARD for worst managed Corporation.

Only in Canada... would a CEO and Chairman of the Board... be fighting to expropriate their customers assets...(at less than fair market value) to build good will and long term loyalty with those same customers.

Lets face it... the CWB's job is SUPPOSED to be providing risk management and marketing services FOR COMMERCIAL GRAIN GROWERS IN WESTERN CANADA.

INSTEAD... THE CORPORATE MANTRA IS 'EXPROPRIATE YOUR CUSTOMERS PROPERTY... SO IT IS AN EASY SELL... AND KEEPS MULTINATIONALS and the domestic livestock industry HAPPY THAT demand CHEAP GRAIN'.

ONLY IN CANADA... WHAT A CRIME!

If we would have had a truly conservative, libertarian provincial government in the past 40 years, Alberta would have left the cwb to Manitoba and Sask. to have and to hold a long time ago.

You guys love it, you keep it.

It is time to take our ball ( and grain ) and go home.

I am getting p....off already. Why don't they mind their own business. Maybe something to do with those head office jobs in Winnipeg. After the smoke clears, who will be paying for that new lake freighter and who will own it? Sorry for my vent.

I loved the petition at the CWB booth at the progress show this week. I stopped in and gave them my usual rant and they had a petition to sign in support of the board. The petition stated that 3 out of 4 farmers supported the board. I took the time to count the number of signatures in the petition book. As of 3:30pm thursday there were 47 signatures. Apparently there must have only been 60 farmers that gave a shit enough to stop at their booth of which 3 out of 4 signed the petition. And this is evidence of their overwhelming support people HAHAHAHA.....

What bothers me most... is that it is LAZY... these folks are not really stupid as in lack of brains.

Oberg and White BOTH know better. ESPECIALLY WHITE.

Chairman of the CWB has a duty to lead the CWB to provide real and beneficial services to our grain farms...

NOT to skim every last cent out of our grain farms they can get... for Winnipeg JOBS. The CWB does not exist for Manitoba or Winnipeg jobs at the Corporation... but to provide premium cost effective risk management that enhances our family farm income.

Confiscating $400/t... in 2008... because the CWB was out over half a $B on margin calls... because of stupid blunders and mis management... is no excuse at all for justification of this excuse for a marketing agency.

Then it took 2 years... to suck all the lost money back out of our farms.

AND NOT ONE PERSON LOST THEIR JOB... INSTEAD they got stress bonuses?

                HOW CRAZY ARE WE?

We forgive... without demanding change... we are the stupid ones.

Tom, I don't think fighting this fight is in White's job description.

What's really wrong inside the CWB is the corporate culture has never thought any other way. They're kind of like the now extinct Liberals in that they think their way is the only way and they are entitled to act and govern.

After the board exiled the grain merchants in 1943 they started to develop this mindset. They attracted like mined executives. Some grew up in the culture. The execs there just can't help it. They know no other way. A competitive marketplace is like the twilight zone to them.

Also, through the years they've pissed on everyone that they now need as partners to move forward. Grain handlers, railways and farmers have all had their golden shower and I for one won't forget.

Please everyone on this thread, don't say Manitoba wants the board. A few left wing dingbats in Winnipeg does not make a province.

I hope all MB farmers will remember that Selinger wasted a lot of money on ads, money that could have been directed into the AgriRecovery program. Many farms here are drowned out. There's a small craft warning out on our fields today so we can't even take the quad out.

The cwb is made up of a wheatpool identity it can not think or react any other way,the pools went under because they were managed by there inner circle of dogmatic leaders that wood not tolerate anybody from outside there mindset to have a say in how it should be run.The cwb has already suffered the same fate.
