So I was at the farm progress show last Friday, and I happened to be at the weatherfarm booth looking at the radar map of all the great weather we were getting when a man started yelling and the young woman who was working at the booth. She was busy talking to a group of farmers when he (an obvious anti wheatboarder) started harassing her. She politely told him as soon as she was done with the group she was dealing with she would be happy to answer all his questions, and that's when he lost it. He started shouting saying that the board never has time for him and stormed off. I had a good laugh. This in my mind is a typical antiboarder, rude ,full of hot air and not making any sense!

Weaterfarm is a huge waste of money. Farmers got duped into paying for a weather service.
I use the radar maps from TWN. They seem acurate enough. But if i am spraying I still watch the sky.
Watched my neighbors spray wheat right up until the rain was mudding the tires on their sprayer. Can't be effective spraying.

"Special" people? Haha that makes me laugh. Just because you have an opinion on something it doesn't give you the right to be a jerk. I bet that guy went home and told all his buddies he really gave it to the board at the show. But in reality after he through his fit, he ran away before anybody could answer his "questions". Typical...

The word "special" as pertaining to those that work at the cwb.
Those that tell you that everything should be equal for deliveries and price for all western canadian farmers.
But then the cwb invents "special" deals for those that live in the RRV to move grain. The "special" deals for fusarium. The "special" deals on durum gdc for pricing into new crop with no fee but the pool can not. "Special" deals that have been made for the organic producers, (Care to comment flaman, wells, kornychuk) that are not made available to conventional growers.
How about having a group of cwb employees tell you how good the cwb is until you ask them if they would like their salaries linked to grain price, delivery accetance, and the payment scheme that has been invented by the cwb.
By "special" I would mean brainwashed and not having the ability to look at things objectively.

Your right Bucket, bto's don't get any special deals from the grain companies at the expense of all farmers.

Wow bucket, in my experience with the board I was always treated with respect. I was willing to learn and understand which program best suited my needs. I was willing to have a conversation with them without throwing a fit.
