Dave I didn't mean to imply that all anti boarders are like that. I'm sure there's one or two decent people on that side of the argument.

notardneck do you believe it to be better behavior to covet your neighbors grain or what do you perceive to fall under the parameters of rudeness.

Highwayman...Who said anything about coveting anyone's grain? My point is just that most of all anti-boarders that I know seem to think its ok to yell and throw a fit when someone doesn't kiss their *ss right away. I don't think you'd appreciate being treated that way...

Care to explain your last post. Do I like the cwb? Nope. I am pretty clear about it.
But the cwb employees are not my employer. Its that simple. Oberg says so. The cwb is run by farmers. I am a farmer therefore my farm pays those leeches salaries. And they should be given an ass chewing for their poor performance.
Do you realize not one employee lost their job for the 250 million dollar discretionary trading loss?
To put that in perspective the 2010 flood program cost the Saskatchewan government 300 million to keep farmers in business for another year.

notaredneck, so you think anti boarders have the corner on rudeness? I have been threatened to be left bleeding in a parking lot by wheat board lovers. They threatened to burn me out. Is that a little rude or what?
Dual marketing was thought of as a way to accomodate people who liked and wanted the board and yet a way to let those out who wanted out. It was started by anti boarders. The board side just said do what we say or go to jail. Speak Eskimo, be threatened or go to jail. Seems to me just by your posts in this thread it's the pot calling the kettle black, or "special black".

Bucket ask not what the CWB can do for you but ask what you can do for the CWB.
Note we are what say and do.

Bravehart I don't know you personally but maybe you deserved that. I have yet see a board supporter yell or throw a fit at an employee of The Wheat growers or Barley growers if that person didn't stop what they were doing immediately to cater to there questions.
The problem is that a dual market won't work, its one or the other. Without the single desk the board losses its power.

How is that the wheatboards fault? We've sold all our board grains during the winters without any problems. If I had durum in the bin for 2 years I'd prob grow something else that would move sooner.

They did not accept all I contracted in 08 and then again in 09. 2010 there was no room in elevators and when there was roads went from blocked with snow to flooded.I believe the CWB C to C idea is great. But from my combine to my customer. Do not want to pay someone to do just a horrid job of marketing. But what else do you expect from single desk buying.

Just to level the playing field here I notice more board supporters shouting their lungs out about what is correct so I don't buy this one about the anit boarder. Makes sense really the board supporters have nothing to base themselves on so they shout out loud.

Hey prairiefire.
I have given the cwb lots of ideas - they just never act on them.
One particular idea was to have gdc for durum only instead of implementing them later in the crop year, like they did, I suggested it when they made a call for durum before the last crop year ended.
That's right, in july of 2010 when they made a new crop call for durum before the previous crop year had ended, I phoned the cwb and suggested they handle that call for durum by a GDC and attach a real market price for it. They didn't do it and it cost millions in demurrage. The cwb knew they needed the durum and the crop was late and they had no contracts for new crop durum. The cwb didn't go to GDCs until they had paid millions in demurrage.
It is a matter of record because they record every conversation at the cwb.

Hopperbin you make me laugh. I was there, it wasn't something someone told me about. This anti-boarder was three feet from me. You can beleive what you want to, you don't have to base it on facts. You should be use to that by now.
