Waste my money... asking permission to confiscate our families grain... at below market value?

    Are these people crazy...???

Hey Tom, don't mean to divert your thread, hut
how are you able to use Agriville? I keep getting
an "internal server error" everytime I try to get to
the commodity forum? Its been like that all day.
The only way I got to this thread was by doing a
search for "CWB" and this is the last thread
posted to commodities. Kind of a back door way
of getting in, but I can't get in the front door.

A plebiscite which should have been held 75
years ago or in the future after we've had an
open market functioning for a while.

It definitely should not be run by the CWB
organization with its strong self interest in the
        outcome.

        Welcome back Agriville?

More proof that the CWB doesn't listen to farmers and just doesn't get it in general.

I don't want a vote. Never did. I want my wheat back and I want to sell it to a buyer of my choosing.

Hopefully the future proves this rant a waste of time!
Historys greatest takers were all hypocrits! Democracy and forced monopoly in the same sentence!
Perfectly fine to watch the government 'Order In Council' a thousand strikes against individual property rights etc. because it suited their socialistic bubble or didn't affect them!
eg. Perhaps more people affected and as much retail opportunity squandered in the firearms 'industry' as any wheat clan hoedown.
SEE how far you get asking questions about industrial land use in AB. Enuf Jethro Clampets!
            NOW a "plebiscite"!!
ANYONE who produced ??tonnes in last 5 years!
Not to suggest that only the top 20 have rights but honestly, include all hobby farms and absent landlords and the retired?!!
The Board of Directors is fiddling as the smoke gets thicker - FINE!
Dismantle the Wheat Board act so it no longer applies. Proven methodology, as it's been used for decades by them!
            Act quickly before opportunity lost!!
            "NEVER SURRENDER"
            Too much/little coffee.

Fransisco: Without the CWB you will be able to buy cheaper grain for your HOGS. No wonder that you would like to see it gone.

Now I am just angry again.

A vote so they can put dead people on the voter's list.

What about the guy that might be growing wheat five years from now, like my son. His rights are more relevant to this issue than mine or anyone over the age of 65.

BTW where is my vote on the boat issue since Oberg wants to have a plebiscite on everything.

                    AF4,

                    I totally agree with you...

The CWB does the worst on marketing feed wheat and barley. This in turn lowers domestic feed grain values.

                    Wilagro,

For the 20 percent of growers that produce 80 perecent of the wheat... this plebicite will only waste my money and tell the CWB nothing they didn't already know.

The surveys and polls clearly point to the fact that market choice is the choice of the vast majority of marketing services growers require.

AND yes that is the CWB's JOB... just in case they forgot... to provide my farm with marketing services... not Confiscate our grain.

Just imagine if UFA had a monopoly... and after they lost close to $100m on buying sports stores and just plain bad decisions... they had the right to confiscate your money... Wilagro... to continue the fiasco? NO WAY.

Yet this is exactly what the CWB is doing now. Confiscating our finances... to vote on confiscation of my farm bank account... so they can continue to pool (steal) our grain at 60 percent of true value... to play with the rest of the money and often end up wasting half of it.

They are welcome to waste your money Wilagro... but I am tired of this fiasco.

We had a vote May 2. I do not need a corrupt money wasting CWB plebicite that will prove absolutely nothing... except the CWB 8 directors are out to destroy the CWB Corp... along with internal legal council who will obviously be unemployed as soon as these 8 crazy Directors are dethroned!

                      Farmranger,

In one of my broser windows I could post... but not read the forum.

You are very tricky to have got in... kind of like working around the 'single desk' monopoly... without being caught!

Nice to see Joe got it fixed!

                      Thanks JOE!!!

TOM4CWB: Bad reference to UFA Tom. Last two years...NO dividend distributed.

Many years back when I bought expensive grain bins from UFA...no dividend declared. You might say that they "stole" my money in a sense because I should have had a dividend. These are business decisions same as the CWB makes. We can bitch but it won't do us any good.

Wilagro, you had the choice to buy your bins where ever you wanted. With wheat or barley our choices are limited, for now.
