    Happy Canada Day

What is everyone doing to celebrate Canada Day?

A day in Calgary with family for me.

    Happy Canada Day!

Try to finish Canola 2nd pass... Finished wheat yesterday.

Canola at Sherwood PK finished by pulling 4730 up and down the field with 9230 4wd to not get stuck with sprayer.

Neighbour went down to pipe line... it has gone to straight mush is places... water is no problem to go through at all. Hill sides and pipe lines the problem.

Will be interesting harvesting throough all the ruts this fall!

Good thing the sprayer is 100ft wide!

Thanks and the same to you all. Started at six this morning before it got hot processing yearlings. I can't decided whether to sell them or put them to pasture. Waiting on custom sprayer to spray wheat, not a big panic. In my spare time even tried weeding in the garden, found out I am not built for that job anymore. Am hitting for the bathtub now, and the rest of the day will be spent with my feet up. I f the weather stays hot the markets should heat back up I would thing. So much for my long winded disjointed reply, if happens when you get to be one of those old boys. HEHE!!

Mustard fellow, while I disagree with your ideas many a time, I agree with your lottery comment. We are all winners to be blessed to live here.

Oh, I took the family to Greenwater for a picnic. GORGEOUS day for a hike in the forest, a dip in the lake, an ice cream cone, and a round of mini golf. Also my little girls birthday.

Don't like the lottery thing much.

Our forefathers were titans, others had centuries and never came close.

Good point cotton. I was thinking more that my ancestors could have gone zimbabwe way. That would have sucked!

Cotton: Your comments are true only if you measure success in dollars or technological advancment. "Others" found a way to live in this somewhat hostile environment, in harmony with nature and taking only what they needed. It is probably one of the better places in the world to live and for that I too am glad my forefathers chose Canada to immigrate to. And you are absolutely right about the titan analogy. If my son wants this place it will 5 generations that made a living growing crops on this land. But it is those that came before us that really made this country what it is today. Happy Canada Day everyone!!!!!!

We attended a shiveree for Amanda and Paul at the colony next door, then went to grad exercises in town, slept for 3 hours and then flew to Halifax. Had breakfast in NovaScotia, coffee in NewBrunswick and lobster for supper in PEI. Watched fireworks in North Rustico, PEI. Never been here before, beautiful little island. Here for wedding of nephew from Alta. and his PEI hometown girl.
