        Agstar77,

Just in case you needed to read it twice.

How do we stop Chairman Oberg from wasting our money... Agstar77?

        Can you answer that question?

          Such strong language, very scary.

Pretty hard to come out of some morning coffee meeting and make a statement of "we encourage the CWB and all parties to move forward and work constructively ..."

          How about some action instead?

          Pathetic pussies.

Funny, how when its not an "NDP" government, common sense can prevail.

Wheat Growers applaud three western provinces for support of grain marketing freedom

The Western Canadian Wheat Growers commend the provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia for their strong leadership in support of grain marketing freedom for western farmers.

“It’s great to see these provincial governments recognize the tremendous benefits an open market in wheat and barley will bring to farmers and the western economy,” says Kevin Bender, President of the Wheat Growers.

Today, at the Federal-Provincial-Territorial Agriculture Ministers meeting in New Brunswick, the agricultural ministers from the three westernmost provinces issued a joint statement strongly in support of the federal government’s initiative to bring grain marketing freedom to western Canadian farmers.

Farmers in the provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. produce the vast majority of the wheat and barley in western Canada. Over the past 5 years, these provinces have produced about 83% of the wheat and 90% of the barley grown under the Canadian Wheat Board monopoly.

The Wheat Growers thank Ministers Bob Bjornerud (SK), Jack Hayden (AB) and Don McRae (BC) for their leadership and vision in promoting a policy change that will bring the same vitality and investment to the wheat and barley industry that we’re now seeing in canola, oats and special crops.

“It’s an exciting time for western agriculture,” says Bender. “It’s terrific to see Minister Ritz and the three western agriculture Ministers showing the leadership and determination to build an even greater future for our industry.”

                  Agstar77,

Perhaps Chairman Oberg with his 7 buddies... could all do us a favour... just land the airplane... stop... get out... And Join the rest of the world that are required to be responsible for the decisions they CHOOSE to make.

Are we really having this discussion... or are you truly considering suicide... we could send some officers... to help you through this... would that be your request?

                  Cheers!

                      Thanks Agstar77!

You will put your neighbours aspirations and needs ahead of your own... you are truly a kind person!

So this means you will vote for the 'choice'solution between the CWB AND any other buyer who would appreciate purchasing our farms grain.

                      Cheers!

No, not like jumping out of a plane without a parachute. More like finally swimming without cinder blocks tied to your legs.
