WD9,
Jim Chatenay gave his sack of barley to the 4-H club in Montana... still there was jail time... after the trial judge said it was a political act... the appeal judge reversed the decision and sent him to jail!
Justice and the CWB. Now the CWB is very friendly with the CDN railways... I suppose the self interest of both is the CWB 'single desk' gives CDN railways a monopoly on our 'designated area' grain as well!

Coming on very good the heat is helping alot
could use a drink next week for filling. Road
building is finally working very well. Now funny
that's my crop my property but burpfart claims it
as his under our system. Why not three options
yes no and voluntary. No not those idiots. So yes
it roasted marsh mellows really well. Burp fart I
could have used the plebiscite to wipe my ass.
But then that would be something the cwb would
have done and I won't stoop to their level.

Wouldn't it be funny (and I do mean ha ha) if the only people who mailed their votes were the people who want to keep the monopoly. Would the Cdn gov't see the "landslide" vote and reverse their agenda?
When Chretien really annoyed me with that sponsorship scandal and when he mocked the inquiry with those golf balls, I didn't throw my federal election vote into the fire, because what good would that have accomplished? I made a statement by voting for someone else. Not the best way to vote mind you.

tman,
To compare the CWB plebicite to a federal election is a huge dis-service to free and democratic civilizations.
The CWB did this to decieve, manipulate, intimidate, and talk up the 'single desk'.
It was not at all about democracy... and Oberg/Goodale know it!

Saskieboy, I don't want your crop or your
land. Since you are doing things with
your rear end relative to the plebiscite.
Why don't you take all yer ideas,
thoughts, ballots, and insults and put
them where the sun doesn't shine. I don't
mean simply leave them in Saskabush, but
really make the effort to shove them all
up yer a hole!!!!!!!

Wilagro,
I respect you and Burbert... and the ideas you have to market your grain.(I hope you do actually market grain)
My problem is this:
The CWB knows the past vast majority of grower clients that actually use CWB services desire opportunities of using market choice... which also includes the CWB as one of those choices.
What did Chairman Oberg and this 7 think alike friends do?
They created a CWB plebictite that disrespected the commercial growers that are basis for the very existance of the CWB in a market choice marketing system.
CN and CP are sent vast amounts of business... that would not otherwise occur... when the 'single desk' ends.
Trips of our grain in storage from CHurchill and Montreal during the off seasons to West Coast export ports to fill Japanese sales. BIG hauls of winter grain programs that would very likely go south or southwest... if commercial market forces dealt where the demand would pull the freight.
The CN/CP and CWB all know 'market choice' will change the grain freight world; so they work together.
AS do you Wilagr and Burbert... knowingly against the proper and right aspirations, the best interests of grain growers in western Canada.
I mock that cynical and selfish attitude. Shame on Chairman Oberg. He should know better... if you does not... because he is directly working against the best interests of the CWB Corporation... and not fulfilling his fiduciary duty to us as grain farmers.

Allan Oberg is an intelligent thoughtful fellow who thinks Before he speaks. Can't say the same for Mr. Ritz

Rather have a plebicite than be Dictated to by a failed Ostrich farmer who can't pull his head out of his ass.
From a gov't that got 36% of the vote out of a 60% turnout of which there are less than 2% farmers, I would say that a vote by farmers is a tad more Democratic. Mind you this gov't doesn't hold much respect for democracy
Someone must have been promised a high paying seat on a board of directors the way they are pushing this thru. Maybe Harpie will join Mulroney on ADMs board.

Mustardman,
"Rather have a plebicite than be Dictated to by a failed Ostrich farmer who can't pull his head out of his ass."
I gather you mean CWB Chairman Allen Oberg?
Or did you happen to look in the mirror this morning?
Where is your binding one person one vote plebicite? A negotiated fair plebicite that offers market choice as an alternative?
Bless you Mustard... it must be hard being bitter and living up to your reputation out on the tough left wing of reality!
