3 litres of glyphosate and 1.5 litres of 2-4D, kills it like a desert. you then seed into that mellow soil!!!

I use 1.5L roundup in crop, then harvest hay . In sept
there should be regrowth then I spray eclipse add 1L
extra roundup . OLd alfalfa stands need a couple of
years of preharvest or post harvest apps .Lontrel base
is needed . Done 1000,s Acres this way .

Sprayed 2 litres/acre glyphosate this spring. Seeded flax into it. Sprayed incrop with flaxmax. Will be pre-harvesting it as well.

No sign of alfalfa regrowth so far.

I sprayed last summer in mid july, about when it was at mid bloom. After a 2 litre of roundup shot the previous year in the fall which failed to kill it dead. I asked around and guys said yeah use 24D. Seriously burnt it to a crisp. Was AWESOME to seed into this spring. Mellow soil, and the canola on this piece is my only really nice canola crop this year, but it is also up on higher land too... Avoided all the flooding.
