    Wheat basis

    In RR Valley south of me, basis on wheat .43.
    Anyone else know basis in US?

    The link below is for the Montana Wheat and Barley Committee. You can have a look at the historical cash and basis charts for different regions of Montana. Not so sure if a similar site is available for North Dakota.

    To put into perspective, Hard Red Winter wheat 12 % protein (Great Falls) has been running about 40 cents/bu under KCBT. Dark North Spring wheat 14 % protein (equal to our 1/2 CWRS 13.5) has been running $1.60 to $1.80/bu over MGEX.

      US wheat Associates has good port position information on basis... that you could back off to farm gate where you are interested:

      There is an Adobe and XL spread sheet that open up into specific information that is done weekly in the 'Price Report' section of the site.
