The Canadian Wheat Board has postponed its annual crop-year-end news conference by one month to late August, the latest it has ever been held, with grains developing more slowly than usual, a board spokeswoman said on Monday. The news conference normally occurs around the end of the crop marketing year on July 31 and includes data on the current year's exports, along with an outlook for Western Canadian crop production and shipments for the new marketing year. The Wheat Board will hold the news conference in late August, said spokeswoman Maureen Fitzhenry, but has not yet finalized a date.

Hey Tom, ever had much to say about problems in the open market? What are you going to write about when the CWB is gone? I am sure once the CWB is gone, your biggest problem is going to be paying way too much tax on all the extra income.

Why will it be gone?
Will the legislation put forward close the doors of the board?
These are premium marketers, No?

Chuckchuck,
It is truly very simple.
1. If I don't agree with how someone has treated our family and partners... we decide then if we will do business with them again.
2. If there is a reasonable choice... then the business is private and confidential... not public.
3. Since the CWB has a 'single buying desk' for one more year... we expect them to do a professional and responsible job of looking after our farms marketing interests.
Cheers!
