Franksaskfarmer, I commend you on your honesty on how you view the Cwb through the eyes of a new to the game Sask farmer. Perhaps their is a role for a redesigned CWB to play in a voluntary collective marketing model. Their are no guarantees like you say that an open market will be better or worse but it definitely will be different which I believe is a good thing. But I have to be honest as well. For 30 plus years of dealing with the board I and many others like myself have become so disenfranchised with the CWB that we truly could care less if they sink or swim after Aug 1 2012. The oppression that they have brought upon Western Canada by shackling us all to the single desk has created a deep seeded disdain within countless farmers young and old alike. So much time and energy has been spent dealing with an issue that boils right down to personal freedom to enjoy ones own fruits of their labour. How much has been lost and sacrificed by our families and communities because of this archaic organization we will never truly know. I choose not to covet my neighbors property and only ask for the same consideration. As well, I sincerely hope that after Aug 1, their is a thorough forensic audit and investigation into the CWBs operations for the last 70 years that lifts the iron veil and makes all those involved accountable.

it all looks good in theory and i have
often wondered why i feel the board is
screwing me over because as a smaller
producer i should welcome their help?
i work full time plus off the farm so i
dont bother with meetings that dont
matter.
if the board cant show real value then
**** em. the only people i see making
money are pr people and employees.
