Wrapped up the last of the canola today. Heres the no BS run down. Firstly SF3 was correct in saying no 60 bpa crops. First half section 5440-47 bpa. Second half section 5440-52 bpa, last quarter 5440-49 bpa. Then we went onto the RR 3150. First quarter 3150-40 bpa, second quarter 3150-48.4 bpa net in the pit. This last field of 3150 looked to be the one I thought would run 60, but like BTO said its crap. Wouldn't seed that shit again. It is a full 8-12 bpa back of the 5440 in my observations. Also shit to swath and pick up compared to invigor.

Nice to here some good yeilds.
What fert did you use, how much rain, did the heat take any yeild? There are some - not ours - but some, that will hit 60 not far from here, but a small area. Most will be 35 - 45. And ya 3150 can/will be a bitch, thats why it was a reject from the Pioneers system and sold through someone else. In the past 8 years someone, somewhere always will/has hit 60 canola every year. Depends on agronomics, variety, location, dirt and alot of luck as we all know.
Anyway, good yeilds should make a few bucks with that, congrats. Did you spray fungicide?
So far in this area peas and wheat are about a 10-20 bus yeild advantage that were sprayed with fungicides. Canola Harvest just started here today in areas that never froze at the end of May. Most Canola here just getting swathed in the frost belt around us.
Spring wht just starting as well. W/wht and peas 90% done. Yeilds all over the map.

Yea the heat cost us some for sure. We actually only received 2" of rain in July. Fertilizer used varies from 1/4 to 1/4 depending on soil tests. However most of these were grown with actuals of 78-24-15-16 with some receiving another 30n top dressed with liquid. No fungicides or insecticides were used. The quilt i did on peas showed ZERO roi. However the folicur on wheat and durum is gonna pay big time.

JD I had to go get some parts in Humboldt the other day and a few fields around their have the potential. I didnt get up their since before cabbage stage.
Now in our area from Regina to Kamsack. One field 40 to maybe 45 and across road 24 to crop insurance. No kidding variability is unbelievable its not management its the severity of the flooding from one field to another.

I have an advancement plot with L150 in it, H29, Dekalb Roundup ready and some experimentals. Will be interesting to see how they compare in the weigh wagon. The L150 hasn't look very good all year but there is a lot of pods so the proof will be in the weight. Anyone else harvest weighed plots yet?

The L150 in our area seemed to be very short. Had a lot of water. Would that affect it or is it short? Most was swathed very low and some blew badly.

Jesus Christ, Confirmed today what I already knew all along. Thee RR2 Early Maturing Soybean Varities ain't going to Yield worth a F*** this year, just like last year. These poor Sob RR Soybean Growers NEED the RR1 Varities available to them for many more years to come, Glad I'm mostly Non-Gmo. This goes for All Varities of All Crops. Sell em' till there ain'ta demand for em' Anymore. These old Varities are Tried & Trued, & its good Insurance fer A farm growing those Varities on some Acres every year. Round noon o'clock tomorrow be on the lookout Saskatoonians, A John Deere S690 is coming to a new home, Talked to the Trucker today. Heavy Bitch too, tared in at roughly 43,000 lbs Naked.
