2011 Conservative % of the vote by province under the CWB

2011 Conservative % of the vote by province under the CWB. They ran with a platform of ending the single desk. They had their vote. Why do the Board supporters choose to ignore the will of the people.

    Man
    53.5%
    Sask
    56.3%
    Alta
    66.8%
    BC
    45.6%

I wonder if the CWB will share its % of vote by province for and against the Mono? Maybe it should become the Manitoba Wheat Board.

You're right. These guys are trying to hijack the
    federal election results.

Harper achieved a majority primarily with gains in Suburban Ontario. Do you really believe that Suburban Ontario gives a rats ass about the CWB or should have a say in the decisions of farmers?

If Harper and Ritz were true to their Reform roots, a plebiscite of producers would trump a Federal majority.

If you surveyed a cross section of Canadians on the issue of which is most representative of farmers, a plebiscite on a specific issue directed at farmers or a general election, you know very well that the plebiscite has more authority.

Chuck Chuck your missing the point look at the the percent of Western Canadians that voted for the Conservative platform. I never said a thing about Ontario.

What was the provincial breakdown of the CWB vote?

When someone or some body; makes gains at anothers personal expense; that it warms my heart, even much later, to see the table turned.
It seems near impossible to point out an injustice and see any desire to attempt to begin to correct it.
Like someone said the other day; they would willingly take $0.50 per bushel less than they deserved; just to get rid of the CWB.
And for those who would construe that comment as proving the CWB earns 0.50 premium; please consider that maybe the CWB sucks more than $0.50 from each bushel and so foregoing $0.50 would still leave farmers better off.

Mbratrud, Even on the prairies there are few farm votes relative to the non farm votes in a general election. Most non-farm voters care little or know little about the CWB.

In the 60% of votes for the CWB single desk, many of those votes must have come from Conservative supporters.

The plebiscite is a more acurate reflection of farmers opinions.

All the arguments about individual economic rights are irrelevant, especially since the Conservatives support supply management marketing boards for dairy and poultry. Which are a form of socialist intervention on behalf of farmers.
Conservative supporters shouldn't ignore this fact.

Chuckchuck, clearly your skewed version of democracy is something your really believe in, and I respectfully disagree.

Independance Day Aug 1 2012. Don't miss it should be a hell of a party!

Integrity Farmer - Even if it only lasts until Dec 21 2012 at least we will die free!
