"new rules" for votes, plebicites and referendums

Please feel free to add to the list 1) No voters list (or if it exists keep it private and secret) 2) Voter apathy and poor vote turn out can be ameliorated by creating up to say 100% more ballots than there are legitimate potential voters. No more ""one person...one vote"" 3) Vote results do not have to be announced as scheduled. This can give the advantage to those controlling the vote (You know get your act somewhat under control and get the first news conference after having the results for a couple days). 4) Every elected official should feel free to act as a dictator. You as a leader know no one can do anything about it.. But always remind the voters about the real rules of democracy. 5) Look after yourself first, maybe your friends and supporters second; and be sure to abuse your powers to severely punish those who have different ideas 6)Please add to the list

Maybe we should not complain about the voter list when we advocated sending the ballots to Gerry anyway.

Why don't we focus on getting someone to lead our views and present our views to the public in a way that they can understand what is really going on here. As much as I don't like the directors they are outsmarting our minister in the view of public opinion big time.

Our minister used the lack of understanding by the media when he announced the 30 dollar/acre program improvements which are now proven not to be improvements but actually worse program (5%deductible) yet he doesn't seem to understand that the CWB is using the same ignorance of the media to tell their version.

With all due respect forget all this pat gerry on the back, the ballot is rigged etc etc etc and lets focus on getting us the right to sell our wheat and barley off board this fall, I don't see why there was not an emergency parlaiment session called, if the minister believes this is so important to us then he better start treating it as such in stead of playing politics.

Has anyone thought about the business structure of the new CWB? Governace, ownerstructure, financing? New generation cooperative? Traditional cooperative? Non profit corporation? For profit corporation?

Suspect the CWB has handed the federal government a big cost for transition. A question I would have as a taxpayer is how the money will be used, what safeguards are in place to ensure it is used effectively and finally there are stakeholder dollars involved/at risk. Dollars means accountability means some form of owner say in activities.

Sorry Charlie, all I want to hear right now is for the Prime Minister to proclaim that it is a basic human right to do with our property what we want and the day is here for freedom of choice. No more decisions made in winnipeg for our farm.

              Not interested until then.

I've thought about that a lot Charlie.
Pretty sure I'm not the only one. But
                until some legislation is announced,
                nobody will talk.

I'm starting to get really scared about
how confusing this is all going to get for
                average producers.

I'm getting more upset thinking about forward selling '12 production with prices at risk of going down.
