Organic farm, I planted oats in early June, the frost just dessicated them, I will start swathing, possibly straight cut next thursday. Everyone else around 40% complete and going full throttle.
I terminated 300 acres of barley due to high weed pressure. Guess what crop my organic buyers are inquiring about? The best laid plans of mice and men.......

75 to 100% in the area we are around 90 yield
pretty good above average. 5urum might be
          best ever. 2 with protein

You heard it here first that the CWB will be
looking for good quality Durum and will have
          boats waiting in port.

They had better start doing some sort of cash
plus with defined delivery. They might have
to use that contingency fund for something
other than propaganda Guys are talking about
holding for 2012. Hell we do it on durum most
years anyway. Not judging just saying...

Central Alberta. Combines just starting to roll. High
humdity and slow dry down an issue. estimate for our
area 5% done. Yields poor because of drowned out and
excess moisture stress. Missed the frost so far.

Boy what a treat, after tonnes and tonnes of
crappy feed wheat last year, we're in the first
piece of CWRS, and it looks like wheat should
Easy 2 maybe a 1 depending on the graders
eyeballs and mood. Hope this weather holds.
