American crushed flax is not scrutinized in any way that I know of. I have asked numerous US grain companies, crushers and their "Flax Council" type reps over the last couple of years and their attitude is basicaly "What's Triffid".
The US industry did token testing compared to Canada and those tests would not have been at our trace levels.. We diligently looked for (and of course found) and then very successfuly made an issue of what was found. Now flax production has been decimated and you tell me how the eradicating Triffid plan is working.
We will have to live without European markets; and appeasement will not get them back.. We should have quietly have considered whether they are worth the trouble when the outcome will be the same either way.
