    Fort SK canola plant expansion

    Anyone see this news?

Bunge Ltd said on Monday that it will boost capacity at a canola-processing plant in western Canada, adding to an expansion across the industry.
Bunge said it would more than double the current capacity of its 850-tonnes-per-day plant at Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta by 2014, pending necessary approvals.

Last year, Bunge said it would more than double capacity at its Altona, Manitoba plant as part of a multi-year expansion program in Canada.

Bunge's growth follows expansion by canola-crushing rivals Richardson International Ltd, Louis Dreyfus and Cargill Inc CARG.UL in western Canada, as farmers boost production of the oilseed crushed for vegetable oil and meal for livestock feed.

Domestic and export demand for canola oil and meal are increasing, Soren Schroder, president and CEO of Bunge's North American operating arm, said in a written statement.

With or without Bunge, farming is "fun". Don't you giggle every time you sell a truck load of canola Tom? Doesn't your banker giggle every time you give him the money to pay off your operating loans. Yes, farming is just one continuous riotous fun time...wouldn't miss it for the world.

          Wilagro,

I didn't see the point in your post.

Grow all you want and what do you do?

Feeding folks and adding value are rewarding objectives... to have this happen a sale must be made... and some practical use of our product made... or we have wasted everyones time and resourses. I state the obvious. Growing FOR an end use... is just logical and rational!

Hope your harvest is going well!

How much left to go Wilagro?

          Cheers!

          Be safe and God Bless!
