Wait am I right about the crop. Take Manitoba production loss and Eastern Sask production loss and South Regina to Yorkton lower production. Then add in super production in Humboldt NB etc. and its a basic average crop. This survey was done when farmers were in full harvest mode in higher yielding areas of Western Sask so farmers saw results. HM maybe not as good as last year.
Just a thought for dissection this morning.

I believe stats can is a market manipulation tool.

Crush and Exports could easily be 6.5MMT each. Statscan Number seems a bit surprising for the low side. Should help canola if it was about Canola alone.

From here it looks like Manitoba is a child dependant on federal money, that;s why they vote NDP. Big government will look after them. Don't worry Klause Alberta just elected it's first NDP Premier calling herself a PC she got in with massive support from the Teachers, nurses and public service unions. We will race you to the bottom.

Stats Can for a change did not ruin my day, but world economies are still taking our potential profits.
Canola down $5.80 this morning, along with every other grain and oilseed.
SK3 you agree with Stats Can on crop size.
I am surprised given the yellow summer I saw where ever I went.

I think the production numbers are not far off for a change. One thing never taken into account is the amount of off grade canola in those production numbers. Large amount of off grade canola from this part of the province with green seed in later maturing canola and cleavers in Liberty. Alot of downgrading with ADM sending out constant reminders that loads are being rejected in Lloyd. Just food for thought.
