SF3, who is your MLA, he's looking to get his job back this month, get ahold of him. Sask.Water has authority over R.M.s and they will usually make a unbiased decision that the R.M. has to uphold.

      Sooooooooooo, there is somebody you
don't get along with. Wow, and you are
Super Framer, or at least you tell us
you are! Saskboy has a problem. Now we
should all jump on the band wagon and
solve it fer him. Cause he's super
      farmer, greatest dad, most wonderful
neighbour, best marketeer, and a fun
      loving vacationing, world traveller, in
touch wit everything, and everyone. YET
can't get along wit his local county
      councillor. Suggested plan of action,
often used, never fails, buy the
councillor a drink, take him to Regina
and introduce him to a ho*k*r.
Compromise him in some way, then you'll
get your way. So simple, so simple. It
      makes you smile........

when it comes to water flows and drainage the watershed is a higher authority than the rm and they'll have the say on where water can flow or be held up.

Our RM is much the same way, Saskfarmer (the one in
          MB I mean)...

We just do a "Get this done... or else" type of deal and
get things done. It sucks to have to bully them, but it
was/is the only way to get $it done.

Since we have dealt with a huge water problem in the southeast this year I have learned alot. For one thing yards and buildings do have a priority, which they should. We all feel bad if we lose a few acres to flooding, but trust me, its a different feeling when your home is in jeopardy. Poor neighbor still has 3-4 feet of water over his lane to get to his yard. Now do not get me wrong Saskfarmer, I am not pointing a finger at anyone, but if you are the one that likes to make water run off your land you do have a big strike against you for help. Lets be honest here, people are not stupid, they see who is out making water run, and it does not go well for some it affects. We all like to say we are not affecting anyone, but speaking in our area, it always does. Sure we think we are draining in a run, but that run with the slow elevation drop in our area always backs up before it can continue on. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

send a letter to the RM council. your councilor has 1 vote on council and the reeve has a vote when he needs to break a tie. If you feel stongly enough and are just not bitching ask to be put on the next meeting agenda.

Go see Saskwater. Someone posted this already I know. They can decide if the culvert can be blocked or not.

Just returned from the big smoke and noticed a lot of V-ditches already in one area. All the same land owner by the looks of it. But I'm sure he was just cleaning out the "natural water runs."
