    Talking eskimo

Anderson had the talking eskimo video
linked to his website apparently. Now the
eskimos are up in arms and he removed it.
Should have used german I suppose. I know
I would have been offended. EYEROLL.

Its on the cbc (surprise, surprise, who
    else) saskatchewan news site.

    What a joke.

would you have been offended if he called you nazis?
the work "eskimo" is akin to calling black people "******"

Mind you Anderson is a fundamentalist so he probably thought this was ok

If someone said I was a nazi due to my
german roots, I would laugh and say my
grandpa fought against the nazis. Nazi
and german are not the same thing. Eskimo
            and inuit, well, lets see.

In Algonquin Eskimo means raw meat eater.
That is exactly how they ate seal blubber, raw.
                  It's their culture, entirely accurate.
                  No reason for offense.

Mustard your a little retard here.
From books I have read and only read never been there gotta go but innuits are an incredibly welcoming people. So far as their house is your house if you need a shelter and in need. They will take care of you. If you tel them they are an eskimo your more likely to get your head kicked off from the innuit laughing and kicking on the floor from laughing. Like having 3 foot long skis on your sled other than 10 foot. Stupid guy.

In Alaska the Eskimos still call themselves that
                        and aren't offended by it.

Does anyone seriously think the clip was
purposely trying to offend the Innuit? We are
becoming a politically correct nation that takes
offense to anything even if we know that there
                        wasn't any intended insult.

To know the true answer we would likely have to talk to an eskimo or probably 4 or 5 because it may bother some and not others, but we can't because we don't speak their language, that was the jist of the comment that things are being said in a way that we cannot make sense of it.

You see this everyday comments made like this. It does depend on the situation it is said in. For example if you were in a bar with the boys and drinking a few and you called one of your buds who was Ukrainian, hey perogy maker bring me a rye, you would get a laugh and some kinda comeback. If you were walking down the street and said that guy looks like a perogy maker and he happenned to be Ukrainian you may get a laugh but likely a black eye. If you are on the national stage as a government official debating an issue of the people and you said perogy makers like the cwb you wouldn't get too many laughs maybe a black eye if one caught you on the street some where, but more likely you would face a possible lawsuit. the problem with this comment is that it is a government official that is supposed to represent all citizens making this comment. Although in no way was it said to offend eskimos, it was not proper for on official to do so particularly if eskimos are offended by it.
