Anyone hear of any rumours regarding Wigmores Farms going under? Rumour floating around town today is that they went broke.

I guess someone forgot to tell them that even though they own former Esso fuel dealers, sell fertilizer and chemicals etc etc, you still have to pay for what you use. Probable also found out that the difference between their costs and their selling prices to other farmers weren't enough.

I know Al a bit, the former owner of wigmore, when it was an actual farm. Funny thing is he sold to those, "sell your land to rent more and buy machinery" types. When he made the sale, he insisted on the entity keeping his last name. He is a mite arrogant that way. He may regret this connection someday! Trying to grow into a cargill in 5 years is a recipe for disaster...
