    CWB Projections

The Canadian Wheat Board lowered its price projections for wheat, durum, and barley that will be delivered by western Canadian producers in the 11/12 MY. Depending on the grade and class of wheat, values were C$10 – C$20/mt lower than the September projection. The CWB said that the decline in the wheat Pool Return Outlook (PRO) was linked in part to the significant declines seen in grain prices. Longer term supply and demand balance issues were the other reason attributed to falling prices. Durum wheat PRO were down C$13 from the September projection. Malting barley PROs were down $18-$19/mt from September as international malting barley values have decreased over $70/mt in the last month.

Will contribute to this marketing thread with some feed barley prices.

International feed barley prices down about USd $20/tonne over the past month.

International feed barley prices FOB major exporter mostly in the USD$250 to $270/tonne range with most recent CWB offers USD$260/tonne FOB (loaded boat west coast).

Saudi type business being quoted $300 to $310/tonne CIF (landed buyers port). Aussie business to Jordon completed USD $300/tonne CIF.

Feed wheat remains quoted USD $220 to $230/tonne Black Sea port.

This basically kicks the shit of any chance of me getting a higher price at the local mill for feed wheat. Thinking now I hit the top feed price. All this good wheat getting dumped into the feed market is a crying shame.

They could have at least put the new pro out after the A series dead line. Very well planned to reduce the amount of grain they handle to make themselves look good compared to domestic prices that we see right here.
Strategy will be to increase final payment later so as to be higher than domestic animal pig cow feed. They must have made some higher sales earlier on, are they hiding it from us this year??
